It is a Maitland Smith handmade in the Philippines large table lamp with a marble base and a bull with boxing gloves sitting on a bear with boxing gloves. We believe the majority of the lamp to be made from bronze. The shade is a brown leather material with a gold and black inside. The lamp base measures 14 1/4″ X 9″ X 1 1/2. The lamp stands with shade 33 tall with a metal bull at the top. It is very rare and very heavy weighing 21 pounds and 10 ounces. It has intricate bronze bull head at the very top of the lamp. This lamp is a must have for the distinguished Wall Street executive. It would also be a unique item for the Wall Street collector. The lamp features a shapely tooled leather shade with black and gold foiled backing, and a rectangular base with brass and marble. Maker of the lamp is marked on bottom, Maitland Smith LTD. The tennis racket can be removed, not sure if it was permanently attached before or not, see last photo. Measurements: Lamp 32H (with shade), 23 H (base-socket), base 7 1/2W x 5H, tennis player 12H x 11 1/2W (from hand to hand). Shade 11H x 14 1/2W. Condition: Item is in very good vintage condition, being in working order, with normal signs of age and wear, shade has a couple scuffs, bronze has patina, needs cleaning, marble base has some wear and scuffs and small chips. The tennis racket is removable not sure if it was permanently attached before or not. Overall, this is a very nice lamp.
