LAUREL ATOMIC MODERN JET AGE LARGE BRASS SAUCER TABLE LAMP 1950’s CLAY MICHIE KNOLL. DESIGN: A brilliant and dynamic Atomic Jet Age Modern table/desk Lamp manufactured by Laurel Lighting with design attributed to Clay Michie circa 195o’s. Manufactured of solid Brass & plated pressed steel and cast iron alloy, all very well engineered and machined. This particular design is highly reminiscent in profile and details of Michie’s No. 8″ design for Knoll but with a stylish “Delta shaped base and more upright position of its armature. The large “coolie hat” shaped perforated shade can articulate to different positions via its ball joint at the shade assembly connection. CONDITION : This striking lamp is in exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional. Very light signs of wear with no damage or repair issues, just some very light surface marks and faint signs of tarnish patina to the brass. Original wiring, power switch and socket has been inspected and appears to be clean, safe and fully functional. DIMENSIONS: The lamps general dimensions are 13″ tall with an overall width of 15″, the shade is 13 diameterbulb is NOT included.
