Antique Grecian Art Deco Nouveau Table Lamp Plaster Gold Gilt Cherub Putti Women

This is a beautiful very heavy plaster gold gilt Grecian Art Deco / Nouveau antique table or desk lamp which is simply exquisite (includes lampshade). The lamp is dated from the Mid 20th Century and has an antique plaster figurine cast with two Grecian ladies holding a putti / cherub each side of the lamp. This is pure quality and will be sure to turn heads in any setting. This is a very good quality heavy lamp and has so much detail to it. Two semi-naked Grecian women sit with robes draped around them and they cradle with one hand a cute cherub / putti figure with vines of flowers wrapping around either side of the lamp. On one side the Cherub is playing a harmonica and the lady looks adorningly down. On the other side the little cherub is holding onto the arm of the lady. The two Grecian figures hold the top of the lamp up with their hands. This is a wonderful gold gilt lamp that has lots of decorative detail and fauna decoration to them. These lamp has a wonderful patina to it which we have left as it makes it so much more unique and only adds to it’s overall appeal. This lamps are so different and a wonderful piece of history to have in your home or business but it is also functional with many years of use ahead. This lamp is so beautiful and would make someone a wonderful gift or simply treat yourself! The detail to the dress is amazing and she looks as though she is going for an evening of fun. She wears a 1930’s style head-dress in her hair and holds a large feather boa in her hand. She stands 53 cm high/ 21 tall – so this is a large lamp. The lady stands under 3 branches which are made of metal and have decorative leaves on them and they have 3 gorgeous frosted glass bluebell lampshades to the top of them which light up. The lamp is dated from 1980’s. This lamp is in excellent vintage condition. A substantial lamp that is heavy and of excellent quality. An unusual large purple ceramic saffron jar which has been converted into a double light table lamp. I believe the jar to be Victorian and would’ve housed the most expensive spice by weight in the world, Saffron. It has a deep purple tone and is an excellent size. If you smell the lamp closely, you can still smell the wonderful strong scent of the reminiscence of the ancient spice. The lamp has been expertly rewired with a purple braided fabric flex and has been PAT tested ready for its new home. Height – 82cm Diameter – 23cm.
